The Lancashire and East Cumbria local group of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) is looking for up to five new members to serve on its committee.
As a committee member, you will get to contribute new ideas for local activities and help plan and deliver a programme of events. You will be joining an engaged and enthusiastic group from a diverse range of professions and sectors.
We usually organise three to four events a year to actively engage the local statistical community and those with an interest in statistical methods and their applications. We always welcome ideas and proposals for extra activities/engagement from our members! Among our key goals this year is the engagement of the public with statistics and organisation of activities that support early career researchers and practitioners in the field.
To express interest or discuss joining the committee, please contact Anastasia Ushakova by Tuesday 13 April 2021 with a paragraph (up to 250 words) summarising your background, why you would like to join, and what you will contribute to the committee. Please note that you will need to be a fellow of the RSS to take up a position.
